How to Stay Safe in Goa during the Coronavirus outbreak across the World

With corona virus threatening to run riot in throughout the word here’s how you can keep yourself safe from the scourge ,being here in Goa. Our little efforts may go in a big way in keeping our state safe from this virus. In order to keep the virus as bay here are five simple things we can do to keep ourselves safe and sound.

Wash your hands regularily

Washing your hands correctly using soap and water and washing for at least 20 seconds or using hand sanitize when soap and water aren't available, still stands as the best way to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.

Boost your immune system

Start daily activities and food choices that support your health and turn them into habits, that will lead to lifelong improvements in health. During this time, get adequate sleep and some fresh air and sunlight daily. Foods rich in Vit C are the best immune boosters at the time.

Follow local public health guidelines

Be sure you have over-the-counter medicines and medical supplies to treat minor cold & fever. Avoid close contact with people, specially who are sick. Consult medical Advise if you feel you have fever , runny nose . Headache, Cold or flu like symptoms.

Stay Home

The CDC Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (US government), the WHO, governments and healthcare workers are all urging people to stay home as much as possible . Have enough household items and groceries on hand so that you will be prepared to stay at home for a period of time.Keeping away from crowd and avoiding any unwanted outdoor leisure is the need of the hour.

Practice Social Distancing

Maintain at least three feet distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing. Sneeze within your closed elbow, use less used hand for opening / closing doors or touching surfaces outdoors. If you are coughing or sneezing constantly wear a mask.

Stay Informed

There is currently a lot of rumors and wrong information being forwarded across. Your best bet is to get your information from the actual health organizations that are investigating the issue firsthand. Stay away from rumors and unverified WhatsApp forwards. Validate your information before forwarding. .
