Lemongrass Trio

Lemongrass is a Trio Band for all occasions in Goa known for their diverse repertoire and ability to cater to different celebrations. The driving force behind Lemongrass is Joy Dawson. Joy is a self-taught musician who specializes in playing the acoustic and classical (nylon) guitar. His preferred style of music is fingerstyle and classical guitar. In addition to his instrumental skills, Joy handles the male lead vocals on most songs and contributes to backing vocals and harmonies whenever possible.

Malaika de Souza is an essential member of Lemongrass, adding a unique flavor to their sound. Her raw lead vocals and backing vocals bring life to the songs, preventing them from sounding generic and adding depth to the overall performance.

Anand Lobo is another talented member of the trio. He brings an element of spice to the group with his mastery of two uncommon instruments, the mandolin and viola. Anand also contributes to the group by playing percussion and occasionally using a looper pedal. He is also involved in lead and backing vocals, completing the three-part vocal harmonies that Lemongrass is known for.
