His musical journey began across stages in Goa, including his time performing with the gospel band Grace Afterglow before stepping into the role of lead vocalist with Nine Lives. Music also has a strong family connection for Oswin, as his grandfather played the violin.
As a singer, Oswin brings a soulful and expressive voice to the band. His connection with the guitar and heartfelt performance style make him a distinctive presence on stage.

Merryl Fernandes - Female Lead Vocalist
Merryl Fernandes is the female lead vocalist of Nine Lives and has around 16 years of performing experience.

Based in Mumbai, he is also a music producer and educator with around 7 to 8 years of professional performing experience. His inspiration began at a young age after watching musicians from his church build successful careers in music.
Over time, Royce developed his skills and worked with multiple independent acts for weddings and public performances. His wide instrumental ability allows him to adapt to different arrangements and styles within the band.

His musical journey has taken him to stages in London, Hungary and Portugal, and he has also been associated with several bands and gospel music projects. Alongside performing, Russell teaches students bass and guitar, sharing the knowledge he has gained over the years.
His dream of being part of a band began during his school years after watching live bands and musicians perform. Today, that early dream has grown into a professional music career.

Despite his long career, Aggi describes himself as someone who continues to learn every day. His experience adds depth, direction and musical maturity to Nine Lives.

With around 16 years of musical experience, Sherwin sees music as a natural part of his life. For him, the stage feels like a second home. His musical interests include jazz, R&B, neo-soul and fusion, which influence his sound and performance style.
Inspired by Michael Jackson, Sherwin brings the energy and character of brass to Nine Lives.

Yashaya Fereira - Trumpet Player
Yashaya Fereira is the trumpet player of Nine Lives and a passionate musician with a strong family connection to music.
His musical journey began around the age of 12 under the guidance of his father, Valley, a respected trumpet player in the East Indian community, affectionately known as Valley Master. After his father had to stop playing trumpet due to a cheek muscle condition, he began passing his musical knowledge on to Yashaya.
Yashaya first began performing at cultural events and East Indian singing competitions before moving into commercial performances with established bands. Along with trumpet, he also plays keyboards and enjoys experimenting with music production.
