The reception went on just as we had planned. There were a few hiccups (obviously) that Lionel so easily overcame and liaised with us every step of the way.

Even though I had never met him or experienced his way of being an MC, I was impressed with the way he spoke right from our 1st call. He went above and beyond and even suggested us with some musicians to play at our wedding. That’s when I knew, he’s the right guy to go ahead with. 😊
Lionel arranged a meeting before the wedding to get to know Anuj and I better and how we would like to have the event conducted. He even asked for the numbers of all the other service providers. That speaks volumes of his professionalism! Considering ours was a mixed faith marriage reception, we had specific things in mind and Lionel helped us to execute them all flawlessly.
On the day of the reception, we had nothing to worry, Lionel did his job best with a touch of humour and great coordination with our DJ. We’re so grateful to him.❤️

He was very receptive to any messages and more than happy to have pre-wedding calls.
We also arranged a face to face meeting just prior to the wedding. This put mine and my wife’s mind at ease.
Lionel talked us through every step of the wedding and we agreed at which point in the evening this would happen.
On the day itself he was fantastic and everything ran like clockwork.
We couldn’t be more grateful to him for all his help in ensuring we had a wedding day to remember.

He is very witty and fun & professional at the same time..
We met Lionel few months before our wedding for dinner, it definitely did not feel like we met him for the first time..
As we spoke to him for hours, ended up feeling we met an old friend..
But that’s just Lionel, very friendly and grounded and fun to be around..we knew we dint have to worry about him on the day of our wedding.
Lionel hosted our wedding beautifully, he knew exactly how to keep the crowd involved and made it very special for us.
He is now a friend to us, and we just din want this to be a professional relationship.

The emcee, the band, and the caterers is where the essence of quality counts. Lionel is a dear friend, who Clyde knew would be perfect as the emcee. What I especially liked is that Lionel is well organised, coordinated, and prepared for all those last min glitches that happen or could happen on the day especially with this pandemic situation. We had our set of crazies, so I would like to say, it is essential to have an emcee to have the tact to improvise at the moment. We enjoyed our wedding, it was indeed a beautiful day!

He took care of all the little details, some that would never cross our minds too. Very genuine and forthcoming. His language and diction, clarity, content spoken, were selected to suit the uniqueness of the wedding couple. He made the extra effort to know and understand the couple of the day. He coordinated with the person in charge of undertaking tasks right from the start, smoothly transitioning through the various parts until the very end. We observed all this and were clear we wanted Lionel as our wedding Emcee.
Our discussion with Lionel before the wedding was very personal, friendly, and yet professional. We wanted a simple and meaningful wedding. He understood our likes and preferences and even gave valuable suggestions. He thought about everything and made sure we didn’t overlook any fine details in our planning.
We enjoyed every bit of our wedding day. Lionel handled everything for us. Even when there was an issue with some arrangements during the reception, Lionel took care of it without stressing us out. Many guests were impressed by how everything was organized on schedule. We have Lionel to thank for that. He coordinated between family members, caterers, decorators, the venue manager, band, photographers, barkeeper, and waiters, etc. to make sure our day turned out just the way we hoped it would.

He is a very lively and energetic person. Though we got a very short time at the venue still he made us enjoy every minute of the evening with all the guests and family. With this short time also he managed everything very perfectly.

He was organized, professional, and prompt in replying to us. His energetic personality kept the young and old crowd entertained. He corresponded with all the vendors so everything went smoothly.
The initial checks conducted prior to the wedding were effective. This helped to run the event smoothly.
Besides he was not pushy and very open-minded to our suggestions. He also came up with creative ideas to keep the crowd engaged throughout the wedding. April 21, 2020 at 9:57 amI’ve known Lionel through my good friend and we didn’t hesitate at all when he was recommended to us.
The whole process was smooth and professionally handled. Lionel made sure he had all the details of our vendors beforehand so he could liaise with them on the day.
At the reception, he coordinated with all our vendors and superbly handled everything. He made sure we had nothing to worry about and frankly speaking, we trusted him fully and had absolutely nothing to worry about.
I remember this in particular because it is very close to my heart. When we had our first meeting with Lionel, he asked us about “our story”. We casually narrated and also sent him a small document with a few details. We could not believe our ears on the day It was magic. No one summarised our love story the way Lionel did. I still go back to our wedding video and listen to it all. It was a poem, where it all rhymed. It was beautiful and a big highlight of our day.

Things that often the couple might miss out on were brought to our notice during our pre-wedding meet with him… He is a thorough gentleman and very professional in his art… He knows how to keep the crowd truly entertained… With Lionel as the MC, the couple can certainly be assured not to worry at all about the reception as he has all the ability to handle any situation with his prompt and creative approach…

He guided us so well that everything went on smoothly and timely. Lionel did a fantastic job, he made sure the entire evening was well planned and organized. Well, ” Lionel” is no stranger to the Fernandes, he has been a family friend for many moons and no doubt, as to who would get my guest’s in a top-notch mood.
“Lionel” is articulate and has his groundwork and preparation done well in advance.
From the venue set up coordination, getting the caterer’s organized to dish out their scrumptious platter’s, to the band playing their best toe-tapping groovy numbers and not forgetting us “the Bride and Groom” that we have “A Day” to treasure.
As a true talent MC for the day, was that he blended in so well with the guests, it was the connection between both that kept them motivated.
Communication is not only speaking but also listening which he portrays as he lends his ears and sixth sense.
“Lionel” has grown better with each event that he has hosted and definitely gives a thumb’s up for the qualities of an MC to take you through your event/function.

Engaging him was by far one the best decisions of this wedding.
His professionalism shone even during the early phases of our discussion before engaging him as he was prompt and very helpful with his replies.
The best part about him is that the couple just needs to tell him what they want and there Lionel has his flow of events all ready for you.There was absolutely no stress working with him. He is also proved to be a masterful coordinator.

March 9, 2020 at 2:55 pmLionel was my choice for MC for my wedding in Feb 2014. However, my wife insisted that we fly in an MC from her hometown Bombay as she was used to the formats there. That MC cancelled a day before our wedding due to a family emergency. Lionel had taken the day off for my wedding as we’ve been friends for long. He jumped right in. He had 1 day notice and he pulled it off big time. Note that this was 6 years back when he was kind of starting out. Nowadays, if you wake him from his sleep he’ll be ready to go in 5 mins. But that’s not his style. He’s super detailed. We were lucky that he knew us inside out in advance. When u meet him, he will probe to know as much as possible. He will use all that info to make your special day really personal and unique. Hats off Lio. One can worry about anything else, but not the orchestration of the event.
