Story Behind the Photograph
In “The Embrace Before Forever,” the bride is holding one of her brothers close while her other brother, standing in the foreground, struggles to hold back his tears. Nothing was posed or planned. It was simply a quiet, emotional moment between three siblings as one chapter of their lives came to an end and another began. For Aaron, these are the photographs that matter most. The moments when people forget about the camera and simply feel.
• The Inspiration:
Aaron grew up watching his father build New Life Studio, which he
started in 1985. Seeing the trust couples placed in his father and
the respect he earned as a wedding photographer made Aaron fall in
love with the profession. After his father's passing in 2017,
Aaron took over the studio and chose to continue the family legacy
while finding his own voice as a storyteller.
• The Approach:
For Aaron, weddings are special because of the emotions that
happen naturally. It could be a groom seeing his bride for the
first time, a quiet moment between a parent and child, tears
during a speech, or laughter shared with family and friends.
These are the moments he loves to capture because they allow
people to return to the feeling of the day years later.
• Advice for Couples:
Aaron suggests looking beyond a photographer's best highlight
images. Take time to view complete weddings and see how
consistently the story is captured from beginning to end.
Look at communication, professionalism, past couples'
experiences and the final delivery. Most importantly, choose
a photographer you feel comfortable with and trust to tell
your story well.
